What is Ear Tipping

Ear tipping is performed immediately after the feline has been spayed or neutered by a license veterinarian and the animal is still under the effects of anesthesia. Ear tipping, is recognized as a universal signal that a cat has been altered and vaccinated. Ear tipped cats are known known stray or feral or community cats, but are no longer a contributing factor to the ever expanding cat population.

What We Do

The primary focus of Feline Fix has always been on improving the lives of cats. Initially our organization focused primarily on Trap, Neuter, and Return, but as animal lovers we quickly realized that there is so much more that can be done to help improve the lives of cats. When our team encounters kittens that are young enough to be rescued from a life on the streets, our volunteers foster and tame the kittens so that we can help place these kittens into forever homes. Our organization is often called upon by members of the community who are down on their luck that need assistance in spaying or neutering their pets or area strays. Our theory is that for every cat fixed today, it prevents less cats from being born to suffer. One of the most important things that Feline Fix does is educate the community on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets, any cats they are feeding or they notice in their neighborhoods.
